Huawei releases 5g variants of MatePad Pro tablet for 799 and 949 euros

Huawei has officially announced the MatePad Pro tablet and announced the euro prices. The versions of the tablet with 5G support will cost 799 and 949 euros, with the only difference being the storage space of 256 and 512GB respectively.

The new high-end tablet was previously presented in China and contains the Kirin 990. This soc has four Cortex-A76 cores, two of which are highly clocked, and four economical A55 cores. The AMOLED screen has a diagonal of 10.8″, has a 16:10 ratio with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and a pixel density of 280 pixels per inch. According to Huawei, the screen can display the full dci-p3 color space, the peak brightness 540cd/m² and the contrast ratio 1500:1.

The tablet has a camera hole for the front camera, which has a resolution of eight mexapixels; the camera on the back is a one with a resolution of thirteen megapixels. The housing contains four speakers, the tablet weighs 460 grams, has dimensions of 159x245x7.2mm and has a battery with a capacity of 7250mAh. There is also support for 40W fast charging.

The different variants of MatePad Pro support the M-Pencil that automatically charges and connects via bluetooth when the user places the stylus on the tablet. There is also an accompanying separate keyboard available, Smart Magnetic Keyboard. It can also be connected via bluetooth.

The new MatePad Pro tablets without 5G support will be released in April for prices between 550 and 700 euros. Huawei will release the variants with 5G in June. The M-Pencil costs 99 euros separately and the keyboard has a price tag of 129 euros.
