Westworld Mobile has been pulled from the Google Play Store and App Store and will no longer work as of mid-April. Bethesda previously complained that the game code from the game used Fallout Shelter. Warner and Bethesda reached a settlement; the game’s closure is presumably part of this.

The creator of Westworld Mobile, Behavior Interactive, says in a message on Twitter that the park will permanently close its doors. The game has since been removed from Google Play and the App Store and will no longer be playable from April 16. In the meantime, in-game purchases can no longer be made.

The statement doesn’t give a reason why Warner and Behavior Interactive are killing the mobile game, but that most likely has to do with the fact that Bethesda Warner Bros. in June last year.

Bethesda worked with Behavior on the mobile game Fallout Shelter in the past, but parts of that game would have ended up in the Westworld game. The company behind the Fallout games stated that code from Fallout Shelter was used for Westworld Mobile, which would be apparent from the fact that bugs from Fallout Shelter could also be found in the mobile game surrounding HBO’s science fiction series.

The conflict seemed to end after Warner and Bethesda reached a settlement in December last year, The Verge writes. However, the exact details and parts of this settlement were never disclosed. It can be assumed that the move to take Westworld Mobile offline is part of the settlement. Warner has not yet responded to a request for comment.
