Photos and a video of what would be Oppo’s Reno smartphone have surfaced on the internet. A camera module with flash and speaker has been incorporated into the top of the smartphone, which extends diagonally upwards.

The images and video have been noted by Slashleaks. The video shows that the camera module slides smoothly upwards when switching to selfie mode. The images show that a flash is present next to the camera and the speaker also seems to have been incorporated into the component.

The technology makes a notch in the screen or the integration of the camera in the screen unnecessary. It wouldn’t be the first time Oppo has worked with pop-up cameras. The Oppo F11 Pro also has an extendable camera, although it comes straight from the top edge.

Slashleaks has also put a screenshot with some possible specifications online. The Oppo Reno would have a Snapdragon 855, 8GB of ram and a screen resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. It is not known whether these specifications correspond to those of the final device and the release date is also unknown. Oppo announced the Reno name in mid-March.
