NZXT Releases Its First AMD Motherboard

NZXT announces a motherboard based on AMD’s B550 chipset in its N7 line. It is the first AMD motherboard from the manufacturer, which is mainly known for its housings.

The company has not yet announced many details about the NZXT N7 B550 and the product page is not yet online. In any case, it is a motherboard that is built around AMD’s B550 chipset and can therefore accommodate Ryzen 5000, 4000 and 3000 processors and has support for PCIe 4.0. NZXT supplies the motherboard with a white or black metal cover.

Furthermore, the company mentions the presence of a 12+2-phase power supply and the board is made up of six layers. In terms of connectivity, there is support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. There are two M.2 connections for SSDs and eight channel audio. Finally, the board would support memory clock speeds of up to 4733MHz. The price is 230 dollars, which, converted and including VAT, comes out at 236 euros.

NZXT announced an Intel Z490 motherboard last year, which was produced by ASRock. Whether this also applies to the AMD motherboard is unknown. NZXT released its first motherboard three years ago.

Update, 16.40: NZXT has now released the detailed specifications and announced that the motherboard will cost 230 euros in Europe.
