Just before the planned release in April, Humankind has been postponed again. The strategy game from developer Amplitude Studios will now be released on August 17th. The makers want to make various improvements, based on feedback.

According to Amplitude Studios, a lot of valuable feedback has come in through the OpenDev program, which allowed players to get started with a beta of Humankind. The studio has now published a long list of items that will be tweaked for the August release.

The most important points are the speed and balance of the game. The consensus of players was that the game was moving too fast and basic resources needed to build things are plentiful. The studio wants to take the time to adjust such matters. 26,000 games were played during the test phase.

At the end of last year, publisher SEGA announced that the Civilization-like strategy game will also be released for Google Stadia. At the time, it was said that the game would be released in April. The game was announced in 2019.
