Valve has implemented several major tweaks and additions to Big Picture Mode in the latest Steam Client beta. For example, there is now the possibility to search in the library and in the Steam Store in that mode, and the display of several parts of the client has been adjusted.

Valve has improved the display of the library, store, community market and profile pages in the update. In addition, there is now the ability to search the store and library, and the Steam music player now has support for flac, Ogg Vorbis and m4a. Also, users can now rewind to a specific point in a song.

Previously, achievements, leaderboards, screenshots, artwork, videos and workshop items were shown in the browser of Big Picture Mode, but now a native implementation has taken its place. It is unknown when the new features will come to the regular Steam client, but any Steam user can participate in the beta client. With such updates, Valve ensures that the Steam Machines, which will be released in November, will soon have a fully developed interface.
