A start-up called Mighty Audio wants to release a device that can play music from Spotify. The music tracks are available offline, and can be loaded onto the music player via an app for Android and iOS.

Named Mighty, the music player is square in shape and has no screen. There are a number of buttons available to switch between music tracks and to select different playlists. Furthermore, the maker, named Mighty Audio, promises that the battery will last at least five hours when playing music. As for the hardware, there is WiFi, Bluetooth and 2GB storage memory. The latter should be enough to store 48 hours of music, according to Mighty Audio. Furthermore, there is 500MB of RAM and the battery can be charged via micro-usb.

To use the Mighty it is necessary to have a subscription to Spotify Premium; without this subscription it is not possible to make music available offline. An app must also be installed to sync music from Spotify, via a mobile device, to the Mighty. This application works for Android and iOS. The advantage of the music player is that Spotify users no longer have to use their smartphone or tablet if they want to listen to music on the go.

Those interested in the Mighty should purchase the device through a Kickstarter funding campaign. The player costs 79 dollars, converted about 72 euros, although the shipping costs are added. Mighty Audio hopes to raise $250,000 through the Kickstarter campaign.
