Software Update: Apple QuickTime 7.6.2

In addition to updating iTunes, Apple has also updated its Quicktime media player. The software is available for Windows and Mac OS X and can be used to view pictures, listen to music and play movie files. The program comes with iTunes, so if version 8.2 is already installed, no update is necessary. Version 7.6.2 includes improved support for the ProRes media format and some security vulnerabilities have been fixed. More information on this can be found in the release notes:
