Samsung presents small Galaxy Tab A tablet with support for S Pen

Samsung has presented a new version of the Galaxy Tab A tablet with support for stylus S Pen. The tablet does not seem to be released in the Benelux for the time being. It is Samsung’s second new tablet this year, after the Tab S5e last month.

The Galaxy Tab A 8″ appeared on the site of Samsung Thailand, but according to XDA-Developers it will also be released in the United Kingdom, among other places. The tablet will go on sale with the S Pen to distinguish it from other cheap tablets and the official name is ‘Galaxy Tab A With S Pen’.

The tablet has an 8″ screen with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. The soc is an Exynos 7904 from Samsung itself, a 14nm soc that can also be found in the cheap Galaxy M20 smartphone. It has two Cortex A73 cores on it. 1.8GHz and six A53 cores at 1.6GHz, assisted by a Mali G71MP2 GPU.

The tablet has 3GB lpddr3 memory and 32GB emmc storage, which is expandable up to 512GB with a microSD slot. The tablet has 4G on all bands used in the Benelux, except the band on 2.6GHz. The price of the tablet is currently unknown.
