Motorola’s smartwatch with a round screen, the Moto 360, will be available at the beginning of July for an amount of 249 euros. That is what the French site Journal du Geek claims. More details about the Moto 360 smartwatch would follow at the end of June at Google’s I/O event.

It is not known whether Motorola will also release the Moto 360 in the Benelux and if so when: until now the Moto X and the Moto G appeared here months later than in many other countries. At the price of 249 euros quoted by Journal du Geek, the Moto 360 will be more expensive than LG’s smartwatch: that ‘G Watch’ will sell for less than 220 euros, the Korean company said earlier, while there were rumors of a price of 199 euros.

Like LG’s smartwatch, the Moto 360 runs on Google’s Android Wear. Samsung’s smartwatch, the Gear 2 that runs on the competing Tizen, costs 274 euros at the time of writing. The Gear 2 Neo and the first Gear generation are available for less than 200 euros.

The most striking feature of the Moto 360 is that the model is round, just like a conventional watch. Few specifications are known for the smartwatch, but it may have wireless charging and an OLED screen.
