A website has published new images of the LG G3, the successor to the G2. These are images for marketing purposes. The photos show the front of the device better than photos that surfaced earlier.

The images are published by the PhoneArena website. The images show that the phone will come to the market in at least a white, black and gold variant. The back of the device looks like brushed metal – although the material will probably be polycarbonate, according to PhoneArena. It can also be seen that the device only has buttons on the back, just like its predecessor, the G2.

The G3 will be officially unveiled at a press event on May 27. Last week, LG confirmed that the device will have a screen with a ‘Quad HD’ resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The G3 is one of the first devices with this resolution. With a 5.5″ screen, that ensures a pixel density of 538ppi.

According to previous rumors, the G3 will receive a Snapdragon 805-soc on board, although that is doubtful since the 805-soc is reportedly only available in the second or third quarter. There would be versions with 16GB storage memory and 2GB RAM, in addition to variants with 32GB storage and 3GB RAM. The battery would have a capacity of 3000mAh, the same as its predecessor, and the camera would have a resolution of 13 megapixels.
