The Meta Quest Pro, Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3 can play Spatial Video recordings. This can be done by uploading Spatial Video recordings to the headsets via the Meta Quest app on an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Meta writes that the v62 update will be rolled out in the coming weeks. The Spatial Video recordings can be uploaded to the headset via the Meta Quest app on iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max phones. Once the video is uploaded, the content is converted for display on Meta Quest hardware and stored in the cloud, Meta explains. The company makes available demo videos that should “give the user a taste of the feature.” The videos are in the Files menu under the heading Spatial Video.

Meta also adds support for more controllers, including PlayStation and Xbox controllers. In addition, support for PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless controllers and PlayStation 4 DualShock controllers has been improved, according to Meta. Facebook Live Streaming is available to all Quest users and the chat is visible while livestreaming via YouTube. With the latter, showing the chat can be switched on and off.

Furthermore, so-called Quick Actions are added. It allows users to perform certain actions by looking at their hand and making a certain gesture. For example, by pinching the user can reveal or hide the general menu. The controls of the Apple Vision Pro, which appeared on the American market on February 2, also work with hand gestures.
