Apple’s iPhone event will take place tomorrow. And now that the unveiling of the iPhone 13 is approaching, we know more and more about Apple’s new top device. This weekend, the well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo opened a book about the iPhone 13 storage: this year there is a model with no less than 1 TB of storage.
iPhone 13 storage: up to 1 TB!
The iPhone 13 will get more storage, according to Kuo. The regular iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini get options of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. For comparison: with the iPhone 12 last year you could choose from 64, 128 and 256 GB. That means that there is no iPhone with 64 GB available.
Something will also change with the more luxurious and more expensive models – the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. According to Kuo, these are available with 128, 256, 512 GB and 1 TB storage. The 1 TB option is new: never before has an iPhone had so much storage. Until now, 512 GB was the maximum.
1 TB is especially useful if you are an avid iPhone photographer. With a Pro iPhone, you can take photos in the Apple ProRaw format. This year, something new will be added: the ProRes format, which allows you to make high-quality videos on the Pro devices, with more editing options. Something like that eats up space.
iPhone 13 unveiling
It is now clear that the iPhone 13 series consists of four models: the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The devices are expected to have improved cameras with portrait mode for video and an astrophotography function. The display will get a higher refresh rate and the iPhone 13 may get an always-on screen, just like the Apple Watch.
We’ll hear about all the rumors tomorrow, you can watch the Apple event live. In addition to the iPhone, we also expect a new Apple Watch Series 7 and AirPods 3.
