In the absence of a third title in the Half-Life series, you have to come up with something to keep Half-Life alive. In that context, a YouTube user has exchanged sounds from fragments of, among others, The Terminator and TV series Chernobyl for sound effects from the original Half-Life.

User TheMostUpset has posted several fragments on his YouTube channel in which the original sounds have been completely replaced by the somewhat limited sound offering from Half-Life. In addition to clips from Chernobyl and The Terminator, Half-Life sounds are also included with videos from Final Destination, The Shining, Scarface and Back To The Future. Sometimes the Half-Life sounds are quite well hit, but in other cases they are different, yet interesting interpretations.

As for the voices, at least the voice of the Half-Life guards can be heard, as well as the voice of a Black Mesa scientist and the Black Mesa Announcement System has been deployed for the text of the Terminator. Furthermore, the recognizable footstep sounds can be heard frequently, as well as the sound effects of the shotgun and the MP-5.
