Firmware Update: Sony PXW-Z190 2.00

Sony has for her PXW-Z190 handheld camcorders released new firmware with 2.00 as the version number. Capable of recording 50p/60p footage in 4K, these include a 1/3″ back-illuminated Exmor-R-3CMOS sensor and a built-in 28.8 to 720mm lens that extends the optical zoom to 25x The short list of changes looks like this:

Contents or update

  • Supports the NETWORK upgrade license (CBKZ-SLNW1).
  • Supports the MPEG HD upgrade license (CBKZ-SLMP).
  • Supports Dual Link QoS streaming using two USB modems simultaneously.*
  • Supports HEVC QoS streaming.*
  • Supports intercom calls with PWS-110RX1A series.*
  • Responds to a problem caused by some memory cards from another venders that are not recognized by the camcorder.
  • Improves operational stability.
