Fallout 76 players accidentally teleport to unreleased vaults

Several Fallout 76 players have ended up in normally locked vaults during gameplay. According to one of the players, this happened unconsciously. Developer Bethesda says the spaces are still under construction.

Reddit user McStaken says he was teleported into Vault 63 during a rad-rat horde event, where the intent is to kill large rats. Images posted to the post include a nuclear reactor, skeleton and mine shaft. Normally the vault is inaccessible. Other redditors also indicate that they have entered the vault before and indicate that they have also been in the closed Vaults 96 and 94. The only way to get out of the vaults later is to fast travel. Bethesda says the vaults are still under construction.

Earlier it was announced that there is a locked developer room in the game, where players can only enter using “illegal methods”. Players then sold unreleased items on eBay. Accounts of players who illegally enter these locked areas will be banned. McStaken feared being permanently banned for entering Vault 63, so he contacted the developer. It doesn’t look like Bethesda is going to punish players for unknowingly visiting vaults.

Even before the release of the online game, Bethesda warned about “spectacular” bugs, then the game studio said to fix all bugs. According to reddit user Codkid036, the Vault 63 bug has been in the game for two months.
