Eve Devices postpones production of 27″ monitor with 240Hz panel until October

Eve Devices won’t be able to start production of its 27″ monitor with 240Hz panel until October. The community-curated display was announced in early 2020 and was supposed to be released by the end of that year, but has been delayed several times.

Eve has started production of its first monitor, a 4k model with a 144Hz refresh rate, but production of a 1440p variant with a 240Hz panel is further delayed. According to Eve, this is because the manufacturer that makes the monitors did not pre-order the 240Hz panels. The company says it has made agreements about this, but they would not have been fulfilled. Due to scarcity, the panels are now difficult to obtain and production of the 240Hz monitor is not expected to start until October.

Eve Devices announced three monitors at the beginning of last year, compiled based on community wishes. At the time, the idea was that all screens would appear at the end of 2020, but that has not been achieved. However, the two most expensive screens were upgraded to HDMI 2.1 in the meantime.

Concentrating on producing one model at a time, the company has started making the 4k monitor with a 144Hz panel and HDMI 2.1. This ES07D03 is now being sent to the first customers, the company says. The third monitor, a 1440p model with a 144Hz panel, is now scheduled for January 2022.
