Driver Update: Intel Pro/1000 5.5.4 Linux

Intel has drivers available for the Linux platform for some of its Ethernet products. The majority of these drivers are released under the GPL and developed through the Internet protocol Sourceforge. There we also find the latest driver for the Intel Pro/1000 gigabit Ethernet products. The version number arrived at 5.5.4 and the changelog looks like this:

Changes:

modified ethtool_set_pauseparam to use e1000_setup_link for flow control settings for fiber serdes link

remove unused function e1000_enable_mng_pass_thru

fix set ringparam for ethtool returning error code on bad input

default InterruptThrottleRate setting to 8000
