Software Update: Apple iTunes 4.7

In addition to a new version of Quicktime, Apple has also released a new version of iTunes. The version number is 4.7 and the software is available for Windows and MacOS X. Note that it comes with Quicktime 6.5.2 and therefore no longer needs to be picked up separately. iTunes allows you to buy music, listen to it, rip it to MP3 and AAC, and send it to an iPod. The changelog for this release looks like this:

Latest Changes:

• Copy photos to and view them on an iPod photo
• Search for duplicate songs and, delete those you’d like
• Receive an “Artist Alert” when music by your favorite artists arrives on the iTunes Music Store
• Minimize iTunes to the System Tray (applies to Windows version only)
