Canon RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 lens costs $899

Canon’s previously announced 24-240mm zoom lens for full-frame system cameras will reportedly cost $899. A euro price is not yet known. Images and prices of new compact cameras have also been leaked.

Canon will soon present the PowerShot G5 X Mark II and the G7 X Mark III, according to information that the Japanese Nokishita blog has put online. The website regularly publishes official images and specifications just before the introduction of new cameras.

The G5 X Mark II has a different design than its predecessor. No longer does the camera have a bulge on top containing the electronic viewfinder; it is now incorporated in the housing and can be folded out. According to a tweet According to the Japanese blog, the camera will cost $899. The G7 X Mark III would cost $749. Both cameras will again get a 1″ sensor with a 20-megapixel resolution.

That tweet also states the price of $899 for the RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS lens. Canon announced the arrival of that zoom at the beginning of this year, but did not say anything about the price at the time. There would also be a kit of the zoom lens along with the Canon EOS RP camera for $2,199. Converted with VAT, this amounts to approximately 965 and 2359 euros.

Canon already has an RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens in the range for its mirrorless full-frame cameras. That lens is brighter, but has a smaller zoom range and is more expensive with a price of 1049 euros.
