Black Shark has announced two new gaming smartphones. The Black Shark 3 and 3 Pro have a Snapdragon 865-soc and two batteries so that they can charge with 65W. The Pro model has a larger screen and physical shoulder buttons.
The 7.1″ OLED screen of the Black Shark 3 Pro has a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels. This indicates that it is a screen with a 19.5:9 ratio, dimensions of approximately 16.4×7.6 cm and a screen surface of almost 124 cm 2. The regular Black Shark 3 Pro will have a 6.7 “OLED screen with an FHD+ resolution.
The Pro model has a body with physical shoulder buttons. The device also has an advanced vibration motor that should provide better haptic feedback. Both Android smartphones will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865-soc and a 5g modem. According to the manufacturer, there is a ‘sandwich’ cooling system in the devices, with heat pipes on both sides of the motherboard. That should keep the soc cool while gaming.
The Black Shark 3 phones have a battery that is made in two parts. By charging the batteries in series, it is possible to fast charge with 65W. The regular version has a 4720mAh battery and the Pro variant has a 5000mAh battery. According to the manufacturer, the batteries are half charged in 12 minutes and a full charge is ready in 38 minutes.
Versions with 8GB and 12GB lpddr5 memory will appear. Storage consists of ufs 3.0 flash memory and is 128GB or 256GB in size. Both devices have three cameras on the back. The primary camera uses a 64-megapixel sensor, there is a 13-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel sensor for depth measurement.
The Black Shark 3 is available immediately in China and the Pro version will follow in a week. The Black Shark 3 gaming smartphones will later be released in other parts of the world, but when and for what price has not yet been announced. The Black Shark 2 Pro was released in Europe at the end of last year for 599 euros.
