HMD hosts event on March 19 for Nokia announcements

HMD is organizing its own event on March 19 in London. The manufacturer will probably show its Nokia smartphones there that should have been presented at the canceled Mobile World Congress.

Details about the event are not yet known. Juho Sarvikas, who is responsible for products at HMD Global, put a teaser on Twitter with a reference to the date and location. When HMD announced last month that it would not go to the Mobile World Congress, the manufacturer said it was already coming up with a new moment to introduce its smartphones.

According to Nokia Power User, it is expected that HMD will use the event to showcase a number of midrange and budget smartphones. It would be the Nokia 8.2 in 5g and 4g versions and in addition, the Nokia 5.2, Nokia 1.2 and Nokia C2 would also make their appearance.

In recent years, HMD has always shown a series of smartphones during MWC. Last year they were the Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 4.2 and 3.2 and the Nokia 1 Plus. The company also presented a 4G version of the Nokia 8810. A year earlier, HMD showed the new Nokia 3310 at the telecom fair.
