AMD plans to release the next-generation Radeon graphics cards sometime around the Battlefield 4 release date. AMD is EA’s hardware partner for Battlefield 4 and would like to use the game’s launch as a marketing stunt for the new cards.

It would be about the unannounced ‘Volcanic Island’ video cards, thus SweClockers. Earlier this month, rumors came out about the new generation of video cards from AMD, whose flagship has been given the code name Hawaii.

According to those rumors, the new high-end GPU from AMD would be produced at 20nm and, in addition to parallel, also get serial processor cores. The GPU would have 4096 stream processors, 16 serial processor cores, 4 geometry engines, 256 tmu’s and 64 rops.

The release date of Battlefield 4 is set for October 31. TSMC plans to begin mass production at 20nm by the end of this year. According to Xbitlabs, TSMC lead the way Scheduled. If those rumors are correct, there is a possibility that AMD will introduce 20nm GPUs at the end of October, although that chance seems small.
