Xiaomi Mi A3 has triple camera and amoled screen with fingerprint scanner

The Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone includes a fingerprint scanner integrated into the screen instead of on the back. That makes the manufacturer known and more specifications and photos of Android One device have appeared online.

Xiaomi has posted some teasers about the Mi A3 on its Twitter page, citing the in-screen fingerprint scanner, camera features and performance as improvements over the Mi A2, without further details. Winfuture and GSMArena posted more photos and specifications of the smartphone.

It can be concluded that the A3 has a teardrop-shaped notch for the front camera and three cameras on the back, including a 48-megapixel and ultra-wide-angle variant. The soc is the Snapdragon 665 where the A2 has a 660. The main differences between the socs are that the 665 is produced at 11nm and the 660 at 14nm and that the 665 has a more powerful Adreno 610 instead of 512. The 665 also has hardware acceleration for AI calculations, but it is still an octacore with Kryo 260 cores, which are clocked slightly lower with the 665 strikingland.

The device seems to get a longer battery life than its predecessor due to its more economical processor in combination with an increase in battery capacity from 3010mAh to 4030mAh. The 6.08″ screen is of the amoled type and contains 2240×1080 pixels with a pixel density of 409ppi. The screen measures 13.91cm × 6.71cm. The smartphone comes in variants with 64GB or 128GB, with SD cards being able to store the storage The official announcement does not seem to be long in coming and then the price will be known and information about a Lite version of the A3 may follow.
