The PC game Hell Let Loose, a WWII multiplayer shooter that revolves around realism, will be available as a Steam Early Access title sometime next year. The makers have also released a trailer.

Hell Let Loose is a first person shooter where, in addition to realism, support for up to 100 players per battlefield is an important feature of the game. The game revolves around a shifting frontline, where strategy and the struggle for resources also play a major role. The game is being developed by Black Matter and published by Team17.

The trailer shows gameplay footage of battles likely to take place in the Hürtgenwald, a map that mimics the forest area in western Germany. At the end of the war there was heavy fighting here by American and German troops. The makers say these battlefields are in the game on a real scale, using archival photos and satellite imagery. The trailer shows that in addition to infantry, artillery and tanks also play an important role.

The creators of Hell Let Loose launched a Kickstarter campaign in October 2017, quickly reaching the $100,000 goal. More than $300,000 has been raised in total. It is still unclear when the game will be available as an Early Access title.
