Ubisoft has shown the first gameplay footage of Far Cry 6 during a livestream on YouTube. The game will be released on October 7 on PC, Stadia, Xbox One, the Xbox Series consoles, Playstation 4 and Playstation 5, according to Ubisoft.

The story of Far Cry 6 is set on the fictional island of Yara where dictator Anton Castillo and his son hold sway and you as Dani Rojas, a male or female guerrilla fighter, go to war against the regime that oppresses the local population. With the help of a mentor, Juan Cortez, you’ll learn all the tricks of the trade and explore the open world check-point by check-point. Dictator Castillo is played by actor Giancarlo Esposito, known for Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian.

Again there are dozens of weapons available. The developers of the game make clever use of a fictional way of life that reigns on the island: the ‘Resolver’ way of life. This belief states that all discarded objects can be reused, including in weapons. This again makes countless crazy weapon combinations possible, including a machine gun that can fire CDs at high speed at enemies.

Not only the weapon system has been expanded, the in-game fauna also becomes a game element. For example, a player can choose to train an animal and be accompanied during certain missions. The trailer reveals that Far Cry 6 is coming to PC, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series consoles, Playstation 4, and Playstation 5 starting October 7.
