The Taiwanese inspection body NCC has shown photos of the HTC U Ear, unannounced wireless earphones from the manufacturer. HTC has not released wireless earphones before, where many other smartphone makers already did.

The inspection, which FCCID.io automatically placed, shows the ears in a black finish. The earphones come in a square box that can be charged with USB-C. The earphones themselves have two magnetic pins for charging in the box, it seems. According to the measuring tape next to it, the box measures around 5x5cm.

HTC has never released wireless earphones before. It did, however, include USonic earphones with a USB-C connection with its U11 smartphone in 2017. They had to distinguish themselves with an automatic adjustment to the listener’s hearing by means of a test on the telephone.

The manufacturer has not yet announced anything about the earphones. Until a few years ago, HTC was a well-known smartphone maker with smartphones like the Desire, One M7, and 10, but it has lost market share in the past decade and rarely releases new models in Europe.
