Developer The Farm 51 has announced Chernobylite. The horror game is set in an open world based on the area surrounding the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The single player game should be released for Windows in the fall.

According to the description of the game on Steam, the game world is an accurate representation of the chernobyl exclusion zone, which was created using 3D scans. However, the game does not strive for realism, it is a science fiction game in which all kinds of strange creations appear.

The creators promise an open world with challenging combat, unique crafting and a non-linear story. Players take on the role of a former nuclear power plant employee and must investigate the mysterious disappearance of their loved one. Players can team up with other survivors, or go head-to-head.

The Farm 51 plans to release the game in the fall of this year. As far as we know, there will only be a version for Windows. The developer previously created the fps horror game Get Even, which was published by Bandai Namco in 2017 and also appeared for consoles.
