The original 2003 Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy has been re-released for Nintendo Switch and PS4. In addition, Star Wars Episode I: Racer will also be released for both consoles, although no release date has yet been announced.

For the release of Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, it’s not just the graphics that have been improved. According to developer Aspyr, the controls have also been modernized. This is the company behind the ports for the Switch and the PS4. The game was already released in 2003 for the PC and Xbox; via backwards compatibility the game can also be played on today’s Xbox One.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy pits players with up to 16 players against each other in six different multiplayer modes. In the single player part, you are a student at Luke Skywalker’s jedi school and guided by instructions from Kyle Katarn, you complete a variety of missions and learn about a new and mysterious sith cult. Players develop lightsaber techniques and Force powers and ultimately must choose between a dark or an illuminated path.

Another even older Star Wars title will also be released on PS4 and Switch. It concerns the 1999 Star Wars Episode I: Racer. No official release date has been announced yet, but according to Nintendo, this game will be released ‘soon’.
