Software Update: Winamp 5.093

On the winamp forum can pick up a new version of the popular media player of the same name. The version number is at 5,093 and the program is available in the usual Lite, Full and Pro flavors, and the various download links can be found at the bottom of this posting. The changes mainly consist of bug fixes. The changelog looks like this:

Fixed:

• OSD stays onscreen in DirectDraw Mode
• Fullscreen video OSD doesn’t reappear after using Pause
• ML Playlist > Select all (no delete key)
• Vis data for in_mod (and possibly other input plugins)
• msvcp60.dll now linked static
• Small intermittent bugs in gen_ml and gen_ff
• Greater than 2 channel vis data now works
• Media Library problems with parentheses/brackets in artist or album names
• Ripping CDs with trailing ellipses (…) in artist or album name
• Better video flipping for YUV colorspace videos
• Saved mute settings with modern skin
• Drag and Drop from external applications
• Open File Dialog always-on-top
• Crossfade on start
• Freeze when switching audio tracks in a multi-audio stream
• Fullscreen switching with scaled video window

Update:

• Dynamic Online Media can now alert users to live events (can disable)

New:

• Winamp Protocols now registered, for direct browser support (icy:// sc:// shout:// unsv:// uvox://)
