Firmware update: Plextor PX-716A/SA/UF 1.08

Plextor has released a new firmware for its PX-716A, PX-716SA and PX-716UF DVD burners that increases the version number to 1.08. The whole thing comes in a handy updater that can simply be run under Windows. In addition to some improvements, this version also has one bug fix on offer. The changelog therefore looks like this:

Improvements:

• BURNProof function for writing CD media.
• Write performance on DVD-R DL media.

Fixed Bug:

• A problem with transfer rate in Multi-Word DMA mode is resolved.
