Software Update: VLC Media Player 3.0.15

Version 3.0.15 of VLC Media Player has been released. This open source and cross-platform media player can play a variety of audio, video and streaming formats without the need to install the appropriate codec. There is also support for Chromecast, hardware acceleration for decoding 4k and 8k video, support for hdr, playback of 360-degree videos and 3d audio, access to network locations via smb, ftp and nfs, among others, hd audio passthrough and support in front of BD-Jmenus. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Demux:

• Fix asf regression with broadcast streams
• MP4: Fix audio drop on seek

Video Output:

• Fix seek & volume sliders overlap with subtitles
• Fix delays when seeking with D3D11

Text renderer:

• Improve freetype fonts outlining

Misc:

• Fix GnuTLS support for Windows XP
