Software Update: SimpleMovieX 2.6.3

SimpleMovieX is, as the name suggests, a video editing program for the Mac OS X platform. The program is comparable to QuickTime Pro but has also been given a number of extra features. This includes, for example, the more extensive MPEG support, a search function to find a certain scene in a movie and a so-called Movie Gallery. The developers have recently released version 2.6.3 with the following release notes:

This major release brings SimpleMovieX to the next level. Until now, MPEG media was poorly supported by QuickTime-centric tools. And MPEG tools were usually not usable, too fragmented and with a clunky interface.

SimpleMovieX breaks the barrier and promotes MPEG1 and MPEG2 media to first class citizenship. You can use them seamlessly in your movies, mix them with any other media, do frame accurate editing, save and even export back to MPEG.[break]
