Software Update: Pale Moon 3.6.3

The Windows version of Mozilla Firefox is developed with the greatest possible compatibility in mind. Partly due to these concessions to older hardware, the browser is not as fast as it can actually be. At least this is the Moonchild Productions philosophy behind Pale Moon. Pale Moon is one-to-one with Mozilla Firefox in functionality, but without support for older processors. Some things have also been omitted, including ActiveX, Accessibility features and Parental controls. The result is a browser that is up to 25 percent better performs. More information about the program can here are being found. Pale Moon uses the Firefox profile, so all settings from Firefox are available directly in Pale Moon. Version 3.6.3 of Pale Moon has just been released and its changelog looks like this:

• Updated the code base to Firefox 3.6.3, this fixes an important security vulnerability.

Fixes:

• In certain circumstances, the browser would crash on some systems due to the memory manager/MS runtime code. This has been fixed.
