Software Update: AnyDVD 6.6.3.4

Spread the love

SlySoft has released version 6.6.3.4 of AnyDVD. This program runs in the background in Windows and is able to bypass the region and copy protection of DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray discs on the fly. It is also able to skip ‘mandatory parts’, such as copyright and FBI warnings. Finally, the speed of the drive can be adjusted to reduce the noise produced during playback.

A license of AnyDVD costs 41 euros, while the HD version has to pay 63 euros. Previously, a buyer received a lifetime license for this, but since January 1, 2009 this has been converted to a license that is only valid for one year. This can be extended for a few euros more, for example 49 euros for a two-year standard edition. Incidentally, since then a ‘temporary’ discount of 20 percent has been given on the purchase price and until now that discount period has been extended each time. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Changes in version 6.6.3.4:

  • New (Blu-ray): Added support for AACS SMB v17
  • New (Blu-ray): Updated decryption keys
  • New (Blu-ray): Added support for new BD+ protections
  • New (DVD): Added support for new protections
  • Added more programs to the list requiring “aggressive I/O mode”
  • Fix (DVD): Display or DVD video mode
  • Some minor fixes and improvements
