Software Update: NNTPGrab 0.6.1

The final release of NNTPGrab version 0.6.1 was released on Friday. With this program files from usenet can be downloaded. NNTPGrab can of course handle nzb files, is able to automatically process par2 files and can consult multiple usenet servers at the same time. The software is released under an open source license and is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. Version 0.6.1 is a bug fix release and fixes the program crashes under Mac OS X, among other things. Below is the full changelog for this release:

This version includes the following fixes:

• For some Mac OS X users, the program crashed during startup. Fixed
• If an attempt was made to delete a collection and a file from the same collection at the same time, an error message was displayed. Fixed
• Files could be stuck in the ‘Waiting to decrypt’ state. Fixed
• If an attempt was made to add files smaller than 1024 bytes via the NNTPGrab Server, an error message was displayed. Fixed
• The task scheduler could be interrupted if multiple servers were used and all items were not available on one of these servers. Fixed
• Connection errors could put the task scheduler in an undefined state. Fixed
• If a collection does not contain PAR2 files, it could happen that the automatic extraction was skipped. Fixed
• Also try to extract .001 files if they are RAR archives
• The program could crash or behave strangely if an attempt was made to delete files from the queue while downloads are still running. Fixed
• If a read timeout occurs on all active connections at the same time, the task scheduler could be interrupted. Fixed
• The ‘Automatic Import’ configuration item has been disabled for the time being under Mac OS X as this functionality is not yet available under Mac OS X
• Various small memory leaks fixed
