Software Update: NNTPGrab 0.5.1

Erik van Pienbroek has released a new version of NNTPGrab. With this program files from usenet can be downloaded. NNTPGrab can of course handle nzb files, is able to automatically process par2 files and can consult multiple usenet servers at the same time. The software is released under open source license and is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. This release fixes several minor bugs that have come to light since version 0.5.0 and the ppc version for Mac OS X is comeback:

The list of changes looks like this:

• PPC support added back to Mac OS X version
• Under some circumstances, the task scheduler could be paused. This should now be fixed
• Fixed a possible crash in the unpack plugin
• An assertion error could occur while performing a PAR2 verify. This has been fixed
• The progress bar in the PAR2 tab could hang if an unexpected error occurred while performing a PAR2 recovery. Fixed
• The program could freeze if a connection error occurred and something in the queue or configuration was modified. Fixed
• Fixed possible memory corruption
