Software Update: Microsoft AntiSpyware 1.0.701

Microsoft has released a new beta version of AntiSpyware. The update is possible from here are downloaded and takes up just over 6.5 megabytes. As the name reveals, Microsoft AntiSpyware is capable of scanning a Windows computer for the presence of spyware. After scanning, an overview is shown of the spyware found and in a separate column a brief description of what kind of spyware it is and what exactly it does. Of course it is possible to remove the found spyware from the system. The release notes of this version are as follows:

The latest beta refresh, build 1.0.701, extends the Windows AntiSpyware beta expiration date to July 31, 2006 and provides new signature updates to help protect against recently identified spyware.

Existing users of the beta (Build 1.0.615) will receive a software update that includes the new beta refresh. The latest beta refresh is also available for download through this site. [break]
