Software Update: DVD Region+CSS Free & DVDIdle 5.9.6.5

Fengtao Software has updated its DVD Region+CSS Free Lite, DVD Region+CSS Free, DVDIdle and DVDIdle Pro programs to version 5.9.6.5. Depending on which program is used, DVDs can be viewed and copied region-free, even if they are copy-protected. In addition, they also aim to extend the life of the DVD drive by caching files, thus sparing the running gear. on this page provides a good overview of the differences between these programmes. Changes in 5.9.6.5:

• Change: Improved “Sony ARccOS protection” removal engine.
• New: Added support for a new ARccOS protection as found on “Cool Money” (R2) and “Kekexili Mountain Patrol” (R2).
• New: Added support for a new ARccOS protection as found on “Stealth” (R2 Greece).

Changes in 5.9.6.2:

• Change: Improved “Sony ARccOS protection” detection and removal engine.
• New: Added support for a new ARccOS protection as found on “The Longest Yard” (R2, Greece).

Changes in 5.9.6.0:

• Fix: A freeze problem when copying some Sony ARccOS protected DVDs, like Stealth and Bewitched. The problem was introduced by v5.9.6.5.
