Software Update: Dropbox 2.4.2

Spread the love

A new stable version of Dropbox has been released. Dropbox is an online storage service that makes it possible to synchronize files between different computers. In addition, files and photo albums can be shared with people who don’t have Dropbox accounts. Clients are available for Windows, Linux, OS X, iOS, Android, BlackBerry, and Kindle Fire. A free account gives you access to 2GB of storage, with the option to expand it by introducing new users. For ten, twenty or fifty dollars a month, that’s 100GB, 200GB or 500GB respectively. In version 2.4.0, among other things, the possibility has been added to save screenshots taken ‘automagically’ in Dropbox. Since then, the following bug fixes have been made:

Changes in version 2.4.2

  • Fix Import to iPhoto and Screenshots not working for some international users.
  • Fix memory leak in Windows.
  • Other minor fixes

Changes in version 2.4.1

  • Change Move to Dropbox to be below Move to Trash on OS X.
  • Fix rare issue in which screenshots were not working.
  • Other minor fixes
