Software Update: Comodo Internet Security 6.3.300670.2970

Comodo has released an update to Internet Security 2013 version 6.3. This program comes with both a firewall and virus protection and it is possible to install one, the other or both. Internet Security is available for Windows XP, Vista, and 7 and 8, and has separate downloads for 32bit and 64bit editions of these operating systems. Comodo Internet Security is free to use, but there are also a plus-, pro– and complete version, which offers more options.

In version 2013 we see, among other things, a completely new user interface, which has been designed with touchscreens in mind. Also new is the Virtual Kiosk, a virtual environment that is shielded from the system to run the web browser, applications and apps, for example for banking. Two issues have been fixed in this update.

Fixed:

• ‘Restart Computer’ window does not appear after changing CIS configuration and further upgrading Windows from 8.0 to 8.1
• ‘Hardware installation’ error window appears during CIS installation
