Software Update: Apple QuickTime 7.7.8

Apple has released a new version of its media player QuickTime. QuickTime is only available for Windows Vista and 7 and is also included as standard with OS X. The program can be used to view pictures, listen to music and play movie files. Version 7.7.8 fixes some security vulnerabilities.

Impact: Processing a maliciously crafted file may lead to an unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution
Description: Multiple memory corruption issues existed in QuickTime. These issues were addressed through improved memory handling.
