Slimbook announces Linux laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 and Nvidia RTX 3070

Spanish manufacturer Grupo Odin has announced a new Linux laptop. The Slimbook Titan is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and an Nvidia RTX 3070 8GB video card. The laptop is available from 1750 euros.

The new Slimbook has a 15.6″ QHD panel with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels with a refresh rate of 165Hz. The laptop has an aluminum chassis and weighs 2.2 kg according to the manufacturer.

The Slimbook Titan comes standard with 16GB of DDR4 memory. This can be expanded to a maximum of 64GB at an additional cost. The storage is standard a 500GB NVME SSD, but can be expanded with a second M.2 SSD. There is also an RTX 3070 GPU with 8GB of vram from Nvidia in the laptop.

Furthermore, the Slimbook Titan has three USB 3.0 ports, a single USB-C port and an HDMI port. There is also a 2Gbit/s Ethernet port.

Grupo Odin supplies its laptops with an Ubuntu installation for free. For an additional cost, the laptop can also come with a Windows 10 install or a dual boot option with both Windows 10 and Ubuntu. The manufacturer expects to be able to deliver the first copies in May 2021 for 1750 euros.
