Apple would release iOS 14 this year for all iPhones that can now run iOS 13, a French iPhone site claims. However, Apple would no longer update the iPad mini 4 and the iPad Air 2 to iPadOS 14.

Apple is expected to announce iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 at its WWDC conference in June, and all iPhones with iOS 13 support will be able to install the new versions of the OS later this year, according to French site iPhonesoft. That would mean that the iPhone SE and 6s models will also get the software. The site keeps a lid on the arm and reports that Apple can still decide to drop support for the iPhone SE and iPhone 6s. The company is rumored to announce the iPhone SE 2 this year.

Furthermore, iPhonesoft reports that Apple will not update the iPad mini 4 and the iPad Air 2 with A8 and A8X chips respectively to the latest version of the operating system. 9to5Mac notes that last year iPhonesoft incorrectly reported that Apple would not update the iPhone SE to iOS 13, so the rumor should be taken with a grain of salt. However, the claim of the site that the iPhone 5s and 6 would not get an update was correct. Apple would have an interest in continuing to support as many devices as possible to continue offering services like Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade to as many customers as possible.
