Rumor: HTC M8 Mini gets 4.5″ screen and Snapdragon 400-soc

Specifications have surfaced of an as-yet-unannounced HTC smartphone codenamed M8 Mini. This smaller version of the also unannounced M8 would have a 4.5″ screen with 1280×720 pixels. The Snapdragon 400 would run in the housing.

The device, of which no images are known, would be slightly larger with a screen diagonal of 4.5″ than the 4.3″ of the current One Mini, which should probably be followed by the M8 Mini. In the case, the quad-core soc Snapdragon 400 would do its job at a clock speed of 1.4GHz. Furthermore, Evleaks states that the M8 Mini has 1GB of ram and 16GB of storage memory, the latter can be expanded with micro-SD cards.

For photos, there is a 13-megapixel camera, with a 5-megapixel camera on the front. According to Evleaks, the M8 Mini will have Android 4.4.2. HTC has put its own Sense skin on this, which has now arrived at version 6.0: screenshots of this still unannounced version were released earlier.

The rumors about the M8 Mini follow after repeated noises have come out about a device codenamed M8. This would have a larger screen with 5 “and a faster processor with the Snapdragon 800. This device seems to have to follow the current One. Earlier images of the M8 came out. The M8 is planned for a release in March ; possibly the Mini version will also be released.
