Electronic Arts may be working on a successor to the popular Star Wars RPG Knights Of The Old Republic. It is not clear whether it is a polished version of the old game or a sequel. Many details about the possible game are also not yet known.

The rumors come from two sources from Cinelinx, which also had news last year that Ewan McGregor had signed on to a Disney+ series about Obi-Wan Kenobi. According to the website, publisher EA is working on a new Knights of the Old Republic game. It is not clear what kind of game that will be. According to one of Cinelinx’s sources, this is a reboot, but the other is talking about a successor to the classic RPG. The game would be “a project that integrates elements of the first two games.” That way, “certain things would fit into the current Star Wars canon.”

It is not clear whether the game is being developed by studio BioWare, which also made the first game. Little else is known about the game, such as when it will be released or when more information about it will become available. There have been rumors for years about a successor to the popular game, which many fans see as the best Star Wars game. Poem Studios previously had to stop developing a remake because Lucasfilm had not licensed it.
