Apple is said to be planning to add a new iPhone 5c model to its lineup on Tuesday. It would be a model with 8GB of memory, which would be 60 euros cheaper from the German provider O2 than the version with 16GB.

Several German and British sites, such as iPhone-ticker, Caschys and Coolsmartphone are reporting the arrival of the iPhone 5c with 8GB, while Engadget has received an image of the alleged packaging. The arrival and price of the smartphone would have been revealed via the German Telefónica subsidiary O2.

That provider would ask a total of 509 euros for the model, in combination with a subscription with the provider, with the 16GB and 32GB versions a small price reduction to 569 and 629 euros respectively. Apple itself sells the iPhone 5c with 16GB and 32GB for successively 599 and 699 euros. It is not known what the price of the 8GB model will be at Apple itself, when the device actually arrives. Earlier, Apple released 8GB variants of the iPhone 3GS, 4 and the 4s.
