Rumor: Apple has prototype iPhone with more than one screen

Apple reportedly has a prototype iPhone with two screens inside. So says Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech. There would also be a screen on the outside, with Face ID hardware for facial recognition above it.

The prototype is far from ready for release and it is unknown if it will ever hit the market, says Prosser. The design is similar to the iPhone 11, with curved stainless steel edges, Prosser said. The man behind the YouTube channel Front Page Tech also discusses the rumor during a video interview with Jon Rettinger.

It is a design with two screens on the inside and one on the outside, but further specifications and details are unknown. It seems to be the shape of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, but with two screens instead of a bendable screen. That’s also how Microsoft is doing with the Surface Duo.

Prosser was unreliable with predictions until a few years ago, but has recently provided more reliable information. For example, his information about the appearance and prices of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series turned out to be correct, he said in advance that Google would not present the Pixel 4a during the announcement of the beta of Android 11 and he predicted the correct date and specifications of the iPhone SE. 2020.
