Hardware manufacturer Razer has teamed up with AI hardware and AI software developer Lambda to release the Tensorbook, a laptop with 64GB ram, 2TB storage, an Nvidia RTX 3080 Max-Q GPU, and pre-installed Ubuntu Linux and Lambda Stack AI software.

The tensor book is a version of the Razer Blade Studio Editionwith the maximum specs, equipped with Ubuntu Linux and Lambda Stack, Lambda’s AI software for deep learning and machine learning tasks. The laptop starts at $3910 for the base model with a one-year hardware warranty, or $4581 for the model with two years of Lambda support. The version with Windows preinstalled costs 5588 euros converted.

The laptop is equipped with an Intel Core i7-11800H processor, 64GB 3200MHz DDR4 memory, 2TB NVMe storage and an Nvidia RTX 3080 Max-Q GPU with 16GB GDDR6 memory. The laptop has a 15.6″ display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a built-in 1080p webcam, and features Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.2 type-A ports. The laptop also has a 3.5mm jack connection and an SD card reader, it has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and promises a battery life of nine hours with an 80Wh battery.

What is special is that the laptop comes with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, supplemented with Lambda Stack. This is a software suite for controlling and updating various deep learning and machine learning programs, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, CUDA and cuDNN, and for Nvidia drivers. At the same time, Lambda Stack is a Docker file and Docker image, and is therefore compatible with Docker and NGC containers. The laptop also comes with Lambda GPU Cloud, a cloud service for AI computing tasks that are too heavy to run on the laptop.
