Qualcomm will call Socs for PCs Snapdragon

Qualcomm will designate future SoCs for PCs as Snapdragon X, the company has announced. Until now they were called 8cx or 7cx.

Qualcomm isn’t announcing any new SoCs yet, but only talks about the name change. With the name Snapdragon Socs for smartphones and wearables also carry the name Snapdragon. Previous SoCs for PCs were also called Snapdragon, but were given names such as 8cx Gen 3. Qualcomm will soon announce the first SoCs in the Snapdragon X series.
